I also have that Microsoft Antispy too although it has yet to pick anything up even though Ad Aware found three objects once. I use both regular though.

Think thats the key with these ad aware/spybot etc progs you gotta run em pretty regular. Also advisable is putting your pc in safe mode whilst running em. Norten internet security is pretty good although it does slow ya pc down a bit. It not only identifies and cleans up probs but gives ya warnings when new stuff is about to be stuck on your pc.
Have had enough spyware/dialler issues recently to last a life time. Pc is all sorted now just running a little bit slow.

Carl, I can only think you wanted to start shit or you wouldn't have given me crap. You remember when that shit was going on and the crosspollination between that board and this one. This board was part of the Sludge Wars circuit for awhile, I know you remember that, and I guess you want it to happen again or you wouldn't have even stirred the pot. I could have ignored you, but I'm so tired of hearing about my alleged faults that I just had to respond.
I didn't mention the name because everyone here who has been around awhile would know what I'm talking about. That was my way of discouraging discussion. Yes, there are people who scour boards trying to find what they think is personal info to take and twist around or downright lie. That was part of the problem before. Paranoid, no. Wary, yes. Cautious, yes. Been-through-it-before, yes.
My post was both a direct comment and a sardonic comment on the amount of guests. I know that there are people who are in that Sludge circuit who come here, and go to other boards as well, to lurk and then do some shoddy "detective work". Again, a lot of it happened in the background.
I only ever expected an invasion from Sludge several years ago,which there was to a degree, never a takeover, and certainly not now!
Listen, I've learned that if I am "private", I get shit. If I'm not so much, I get more, so I think I'll stick to the former.
I have had offline problems relating to the crap, and I know of cases where there were actual, real life confrontations. Carl, it not happening to you doesn't mean it didn't happen to someone else.
